April 24, 2013 - day after my birthday

I originally called this a monk's blog because I would not be talking much on it and sure enough I have not.
Yesterday I was 63 - amazing to me to have reached this age and feel well and pretty happy all around.
Weather is cold today.
Billy has almost finished the screened in porch so we will be able to sit out and enjoy the view   without the vampire mosquiotes attaching us. 
Have now got a chicken coop and 4 chicks.  Each day I get 3 or 4 eggs.  How many eggs can two people eat, well it seems alot.
Started a yellow and blue quilt for Liz H., she is a care giver for her mother at this time.  Her mother is very sick with cancer, she is also a very good friend of Belinda's.  Belinda requested a quilt for her so I will sew the top and Liz D. will quilt it at her studio.
The house looks like twelve drunk monkey's were living here overnight so instead of blogging I shall get busy and clean up.  Yesterday was out almost all day - dad to the Doctor's and then supper out for the birthday girl (old lady).
Have NOT been spinning, have been knitting and quilting

Just ordered a spinning wheel. don't know how to spin YET but I just know I will love it. Have been practising my drop spindle and am not really getting any better at it. Really hope I get better at spinning. But what oh what am I going to do with all that yarn that I will spin. Save it forever or give it away. Can't possibly knit any more stuff. Kind of have too many hobbies right now but am getting a little tired of quilting. so on to spinning.

Back from Montreal, drove in a slight snow storm and ended up staying in St. Leonard over night. No new kitchen counter yet - that is taking forever to get installed. I will keep leaving Frank voice mails until he is sick of hearing from me. Sound like a plan?

It seems I only blog once a year - how normal is that for a monk.
quilting yesterday, Lee was suppose to arrive yesterday but as normal, he missed the flight and now no flights available till Wed;.
Roof is getting done by Billy, Owen, Andy and Paul and (not Lee).
The Mexican resort that Tracie and Mark are suppose to stay in in Dec has just explosed killing 6 people. hope they cancel this trip.
